For all Guns on here.........

I'm sure you'll have read about sabs vandalising cars with BASC or CA stickers on the windows. I had but foolishly chose to ignore the warnings about removing the membership stickers.

Checked out of the hotel where I and some of the other Guns were staying this morning to find that both the headlights on my car had been smashed and a friend's really smart 2-door Classic had been coined and had a headlight broken. The sabs had also thoughtfully written 'murderer' on both our windscreens in lipstick.

This is a RR website so I won't comment on the swivel-eyed twits who do this sort of thing but..... Get rid of those stickers, they can prove to be expensive!

Don't worry Andy, the acronyms would probably only mean something to the shooting fraternity on here. BASC stands for the British Association for Shooting and Conservation, and CA stands for the Countryside Alliance.

Anti-country sports sabs quite often vandalise cars that they believe are driven by participants as a highly intelligent way of putting their opinion forward. Both my RR and a friend's early Classic had BASC stickers in the rear window and that, apparently, was enough to give the sabs the right to cause a hell of a lot of expensive damage.

It wasn't helped that I was in the 2010 car and I dread to think how much two new headlight units will be!!

Really sorry to hear that I'll take mine off as soon as the ****ing land rover find a rear brake caliper for mine and I get it back! (3 weeks on Thursday)

It's infuriating that these idiots are either too stupid or lazy to read the facts. Same reason I'll never donate to the RSPCA again after they ignored one of their own chief vets and put a massive balloon float up at the support march- using donated money.

/rant.

Sorry again and thanks for the info.

I think even if you didn't have BASC stickers in your car, if it was with others that did, or RR's that loook like shooters use them (easy to spot compared to the non shooters car generally) then they probably would have done it anyway.

These people deserve to have their property ruined to the same fiscal amount to see how they like it. W****rs. THE INVENTOR OF THE TERM "FULL-FAT RANGE ROVER" :

Thanks for your thoughts. Don't ask your LR dealer to remove the sticker, at official rates it could cost a fortune!

I agree with you regarding the RSPCA, it used to be a noble organisation and deserved support, at least until it decided to become a political voice under the auspices of Jackie Ballard.

Anyway, hope you get your car back soon and in one piece!
