God, it's tempting. I love series landies......must resist, must resist. Success is the ability to go from one failure to another with no loss of enthusiasm.

TBH that's actually where I am, but I just know that for me this will be one toy/project too many!

The round knobs on the vents suggest the vehicle is actually a 2, not a 2a. The vents were opened by levers not knobs after 1961 when they introduced the 2a. Another way of telling is if the vents are spot welded to hinges (2a) or screwed on (2). As with all series Land Rovers during periods of transition, there would be a mix of different generation parts depending on what was lying in the parts bin at the time.

The valence was different on a 2, but it looks like it is missing on this vehicle also looks like the door tops have been replaced with Series 3 items.

The bumper is consistent with being ex military.

Not sure any of this has any bearing on its value though. if the chassis and bulkhead is sound, that will help with the sale as these are the first areas to give problems and add to the expense of making them road worthy. 2011 Evoque Prestige SD4 Lux + Adaptive Dynamics

There's a few places I know of where I'll distribute this to other LR folk. A man ain't truly been insulted until he stands buck naked in front of a woman and she didn't even notice. Or care.
