2006 Range Rover Autobiography Supercharged Zambezi Silver
Maxxraxx bike rack fitted

I finally got round to ordering the Maxxraxx - I went against the selection guide on their website and opted for the 4x4 fitment (for vehicles with a rear mounted spare wheel)

Just had a trial fitting - really easy to put on and loaded the 4 bikes with ease - a plus point of me going for the offset rack means that I can open both the upper and lower tailgate without having to move the rack Thumbs Up

Looking good - the 'spare wheel' figment certainly keeps it off the bumper !

Does the lower tailgate open fully ?

Yeah, I can just get the lower tailgate down with about 10mm to spare - so hassle free ! Looks similar offset to the original RR bike rack but can carry four bikes as opposed to two. Stolen / Gone: 2006MY Supercharged LPG Autobiography - Zambezi Silver with Sand/Jet/Jet Oxford Leather.....

Good work fella Smile

My lower tailgate must have bust drop cables as it opens almost flat Question FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Mine opens flat as well - when i look at that picture, it was catching on a pedal, it does go flat with the rack on if I don't have the pedal in the way Laughing Stolen / Gone: 2006MY Supercharged LPG Autobiography - Zambezi Silver with Sand/Jet/Jet Oxford Leather.....

Looking good. Don't forget that MaxxRaxx say you should use the support straps with more than 2 bikes. You can see that the leverage is pretty high and whilst I do not bother for the couple of miles to our local trail on any journey where you might come across serious bumps (especially at speed) it is best not to take the chance.
