2007 S320 Mercedes worth getting?

Hi, I just had a go in a 07 88k S class and am totally smitten by it! Even though I hate the marque because everyone I meet asks me when will I upgrade to a merc! I ask this because I want to change my workhorse Zafira that is driving me up the wall because it os running lean and no garages can guarantee the work to replace sensors. Will the S class have similar problems to my Fullfat? And how do I persuade my boss(wife) to let me buy it. Embarassed

England 2003 Range Rover HSE 4.4 V8 Epsom Green

The S-Class might have problems as all marques have their lemons. On the poz front, we use a great chauffeur/driver who does airport runs and such for us and, about 3 years ago, he upgraded from an E320 CDI to a 2008 S320 CDI. It's approaching 200k miles now, and its only unscheduled / unexpected work has been a gearbox fault which was sorted for less than £1k.

They are a lovely car to be a passenger in, so maybe the best way to persuade your wife is to give her a spin in one. 2003 4.4 HSE Epsom Green / Sand. Lovely!

One of my previous cars was a 2003 S320 CDi. Lovely car, very comfortable, but got very bored of it, very quickly.

Great car to be a rear seat passenger in, but it's never a drivers' car............. Whistle Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue
Had- 2008 TDV8 Vogue SE in Java black
Had - 2007 S/C in Stornoway Grey

Agree with above post. Like riding a magic carpet, but as a driver's car, terrible. Boring, wafty, impossible to drive in a spirited fashion should the mood take you, and impossible in car parks. Overhangs a standard space by about 5 feet. Ridiculously long.

Very similar to the Daimler Super V8 actually. Nice in theory.....But the XJR is the same thing, just a lot more fun.
