United Kingdom

Time to put your anoraks on . . . .

The Range Rover (notice the proper name out of respect !) at Gaydon is chassis no.3.

The Range Rover at Huddersfield is chassis no.1.

However, no.3 was reported to have been completed first as it was considered better to have a blue car for the photography . . . . .

If you ever get chance to go to the Land Rover Centre at Huddersfield, no.1 is stunning - I think better than no.3. Also, there's a great film I think called " A car for all seasons" which was an early promotional film featuring both pre production and first production cars.

I could go on, but I'll spare you from that !

Anoraks off.

Thumbs Up Where do you go after one of these . . . ?

Yes, the Range Stormer concept was there in all its glory.

Looked a bit spooky to be honest, seeing all the design cues that are now on the cars..........

At least I'd not gone mad then, I was sure it said first one off the production line.

.....but that does not necessarily mean the first one made.....

Makes sense now.

You can buy a DVD with that archive film on amongst others.

I got it a few weeks ago online.

I must admit to fancy watching the Rover SD1 DVD too. 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8
