I have to change mine next week as it is doing the same as your was doing, i will do it rather than the garage as it seems quite straightforward

It can be fixed! The plastic piece where the tube is connected can be removed and inside there’s a 10x16x4 simmerring that costs less than 1euro and that can be replaced. Then the plastic support that originally was thermally fitted can be simply attached with 4 screws. This way one can change the simmerring anytime. If needed I can post pictures.

Maybe I haven't got the english name right, a simmerring is a rubber radial joint with a spring in it that allows rotation while insulating, here's a picture: [/img]

..and that´s the inner view of what happens when inner seal ring is not longer leak-proof and why wiper stops working....(not much difference to old Lucas wiper motors from the 50s, but this wiper motor is from 2003)

Here's the motor with the new 1EUR seal ring and 4 screws holding the plastic piece. No more leaks!

adara, which seal ring do you mean?
The same as me( inside where to click the waterpipe into the adaptor for the jet, the small rubber ring) or the one in the upper tailgate where the complete wiper spindle goes through?

I have yet to do this repair however I will be going down a different route but thought I would share it here.

The plan is, and I have forgotten where I read this but it sounds properly feasible and prevents future repeat issues and problems with the wiper motor.

Get a length of cuniffer (A copper alloy) brake line. Pop a small hole in one of the large rumer grommets that go through the tailgate and feed the pipe through. Profile the pipe such that it points out in a manner to put the water jet where you desire it, but will be hidden from view by the trim when replaced. Crush the end of the pipe to get a spray effect rather than a dribble (like you do owhen you pinch the end of a garden hose). Mole grips or pliers if you are "ard" . Attach the rubber hose to the brake line inside the car and suitably secure the fitting to prevent any irriitating rattle or such like.

Ok its a bodge. But its never going to be seen by anyone and should not fail due to being so simple!

If you don't have brake line as it is generally sold on a roll then ask a local garage. In fact they may do it all for you following these instructions as it really is simple.
