Click4warranty?

Anyone got any experience of these guys?
http://www.click4warranty.co.uk/products.aspx

Seems that they're the only warranty company the will cover a >120k mile car, but on the face of it they do look quite promising! Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

Thanks Mick.
I just wonder if it's worth taking a flyer on a warranty at all, since I guess at 124k miles, something must go wrong sometime (hopefully not) soon!

Meant to say, they quoted £750 for a year incuding the optional "4x4" cover.

Also they cover failures from the day you take the cover and not the 90 days grace period that Wattanty Direct insist on.

Just seems to good to be true! Whistle Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

Hmm,

I'd ask what kind of service history they require and where you can get repairs done as they may only approve certain places.

If its for a TD6 and your getting warning signs of something that costs more than £1k to repair going sometime soon it could be worth.

Would be really worth it if the gearbox is about to go and you can get away with getting one with the uprated valve block, oil pump, TC and ECU upgrade(as the ECU would need to relearn anyway it could be wangled Wink FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

£704 for mine though the 4X4 bit adds a lot i dont know of anyone having issues bar the odd rear diff with the 4x4 drivetrain(excluding gearbox!) FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

It's for my TDV8.

That's the 1 issue I need clarified, as they mention their "approved network" of repairers, and no mention of main dealer. If you choose your own repairer, they limit your hourly rate to about £45/hour!! Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

See i'd want to use a GBox specialist if the box went and just a local specialist if anything else went and not some approved place thats possibly never touched an LR before and possibly has an autologic device but no clue on how it works with an l322 and fraggles things up even more. Also what about a hire car when its in? FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Also how about this bit....

Quote:
7The Click4Warranty Mechanical Breakdown Insurance is suitable for cars that have covered up to 150,000 miles, cover will terminate if your car exceeds this.

Most warranty providers increase the premium for high mileage cars, Click4Warranty does not. Why should a high mileage driver be penalised before they make a claim? We are distinctive and fair in the way we treat high mileage cars.

If your car has covered less than 60,000 miles, we will cover the claim in full (up to your chosen claim limit.)

However, if your vehicle has covered more than 60,000 miles it’s not unreasonable to suggest that if, for example, your gearbox was repaired the car is actually in better condition after the repair than it was before. In this instance we would call for a contribution toward the repair costs. For example, if your car has covered 67,000 miles, we would require a 10% contribution i.e. on a £350 claim, you would be required to pay just £35.

As with all aspects of our products and service, we aim to provide clear information. The table below shows the contribution toward the cost of repair you will be required to pay depending on the mileage of your car at point of breakdown.

Up to 60,000 miles no contribution required
Up to 70,000 miles 10%
Up to 80,000 miles 20%
Up to 90,000 miles 30%
Up to 100,000 miles 40%
Over 100,000 miles 50%

Full details can be found in section 6 of our Terms & Conditions

Not looking like such a good deal now! Whistle

You get a spanner monkey from Halfrauds to replace a gearbox and have to pay half of the cost yourself?

. . . . I had a Warranty Direct cover - never used it, however. But it was recommended by my specialist, as they'd never had any trouble with claims. I seem to remember they would pay upto £60 p/h for an indy.

The 90 days initial period is what you get to avoid fraud - if you car's in good order, I'd say go with that ?

Thumbs Up Where do you go after one of these . . . ?
