Uneven tyre wear front left

Had lunch with an FFRR owning friend today. He was bemoaning a problem...

Any view on the "opinion" of his franchised dealership LR technician that the Front left tyre always wears unevenly and way faster than the others? :"They all do that sir". Sounds like boll**cks to me.

Allegedly something to do with the EAS loading up that wheel on cornering.

I thought probably uneven / maladjusted 4-wheel geometry but he wasn't trying to sell that.

Views welcome. Graham

United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Zermatt Silver

I've just replaced a set of tyres and there was no any uneven wear on mine.....
Never had a car where this would be 'normal'

The garage is slipping, could have given them an excuse to replace most of your suspension components (or claim to have Whistle ) and charge you loads of £££'s to fix it ....

both my vogur tdv8's (3.6 and 4.4) both had excessive tyre wear on l/h/front
lr tech says going round roundabouts too quick loads the front left and he sees it on all vogues Question

New Zealand 2010 Range Rover Autobiography 5.0 SC V8 Galway Green

Mine had it on both front tyres and since it was an American model, very few roundabouts and here it hasn't had many roundabouts either. So I had the wheels aligned and the current set of Nexen Roadians seem to be wearing nice and evenly sofar.

It could be that just one wheel has been knocked out of alignment. Maybe worth a check. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

Scotland 2007 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Java Black

+1 on the heavy cornering, causing the edges of the front tyres to wear, I have taken 3mm of both my front tyres in 4K miles by driving it like my lotus (Alignment is spot on)

I would still get the alignment checked though 56 TDV8 Vogue SE
