Tyre recommendations please !

Hi, as winter is upon us, at least up here, I am looking to put some all terrains on my FF, 20". Currently running 255/50 Grandtrec (sp?). Does anyone have experience/views on the best options, I was looking at BF Goodrich

Thanks

The only AT option in 20" that is speed rated for the FFRR is the General AT. I have just fitted a set to one of my vehicles for the shooting season and snow.

The only issue is you can only get them slightly wider in 275/45/20. The diameter is exactly the same though despite what the tyre size calculators tell you as I measured the circumference on both oem and the AT's both came out on exactly 239 cms - probably down to the extra tread depth of 11mm. I don't think the slightly extra width is an issue, and they certainly look better with slightly wider tyres. After all the L405 and Sporty comes with 275's and they do just fine!

There is loads of info on the Disco 3 forum on GG AT's if you do a search, here is just 1 thread :-

I have found Noise is up slightly and mpg down slightly - jury still out as only done 300 miles.

This is one of my threads which may be useful on an alternative
