Toyos rotated

I rotated my tyres today (swapped front and back to even out wear). Is this common practice nowadays or am I just showing my age.

Incidentally, the Toyo S/Ts were in great shape. Hardly any wear after about 10k and no shoulder wear unlike their Continental predecessors. The fronts were slightly more worn than the backs. 2014 5.0 Supercharged Autobiography & 2015 3.0SDV6 HSE Lux Discovery 4
