Another 'will it fit' Question- 19" Wheels on a TDV8

I've been reading the previous posts on wheel compatibility on TDV8's but thought I would ask a more general (or vague!) question.

After having our 2009 Westminster TDV8 for a few months now I've been considering getting a spare set of 19" wheels to run over the winter to protect the 20" polished wheels from the salt and potholes that winter normally presents us with.

I've asked a previous question about this style of 19" wheels:

and was told they fit over the Brembo brakes with mm's to spare (wheel weights need to be fitted on the outside).

I've been keeping an eye on eBay for some bargain wheels and have realised that plenty of Range Rover Sport and Discovery 3/4 wheels are also advertised.

I know that the 5 x 120 PCD is the same on all wheels. RRS 19" wheels have 255 50 19 tyres which would not be suitable for a Full Fat RR, but Disco's have the 255 55 19 that I'd require.

The offset is 53mm on a Disco. Is this different to on my Range Rover and if it's less will it foul by brake calliper? Is the offset on a RRS the same as the Disco or Full Fat RR?

I suppose in summary I am just wondering if I can get any 19" wheel from a RR/RRS/Disco or if each different style will need to be investigated for offset and calliper clearance.

Any advice would be helpful!

Put your old size tyres in and the new ones and see what difference there is on this chart.

Thanks for the tips guys.

The wheelfitment guide gives the offset on a Range Rover as 57mm which does ring a bell. Compared to the 53mm on the disco I assume that puts the wheel closer to the hub and so could cause problems with fouling the brake calliper.

Strangely enough, the wheel fitting website gives recommended tyre size as 255 50 19 which is incorrect at my understanding. It's correct for a RRS, and for a Porsche Cayenne (which is why I have 4 winter and 4 summer tyres of that size in our garage!) My understanding is 255 55 19 is the correct tyre size for a FFRR.

I happy with the appropriate tyre size for the different rim size. My question really is whether the design of the interior of the wheel or a different offset could mean that some 19" OEM Land Rover wheels will fit and some will not.

Have the latter tdv8's not got larger brembos than the 2006-2009 models those wheels come off?

I know they fit on mine with the 4 pot brembos cos I've got a set, but I would be wary with the larger "range rover" branded calipers. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
