Playstation issues - was told to ask for Joe90!

Hi,

Just about to buy a L322 Vogue SE with PS in the boot, but the controls are damaged. I've been searching for replacement ones to no avail. Are they available anywhere? Is it possible to replace the PS2 with something newer - PS3/PS4?

Tym

Wired or wireless controllers ?

eBay is full of them......

PS2 is easy to fit as it has an external power supply that can be replaced with a 12v supply.

You can fit a later model, but need an inverter, so less efficient. I think they also run hotter, so placement of the unit needs to be carefully considered.

What do you mean by controls? The controllers? These should be plentiful on eBay....my son seems to have 8 or 9 of the things!

You can probably run a PS3, as long as you can supply the right power to it, and get a composite video feed out of it

I have a complete working PS2 (edit: I meant PSOne) with cabling and power supply for car if you need one Thumbs Up .

Hi,

Sorry to be vague in the original post.

I mean the controllers - which are normally wired on the "Home" PS2, but wireless on the RR one. The thumb sticks are goosed on this one.

Despite wasting several hours previously I've just found this on ebay...
Not got the car yet so working blind... how do you watch DVDs in the back of the car? Is this done via the PS2? Guess I need to read the user guide i've downloaded! Smile

Might take you up on that Joe... I'll let you know who I get on.

Depends on the year.

Mine has a DVD changer in the boot - passenger side behind the panel that removes

Check out my post in the ICE section, there are details of the PS2/DVD setup I found on my car. I do not believe a PS2 (edit: I meant PSOne) can play DVDs.

You should be able to watch a DVD on ps2. Issues may be a worn laser or if it's had a mod chip fitted and needs to be in a different mode.

Should come up after you go in "Browser" 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8
