As Churchill would say "OH Yes" especially living where I now live in the Trossachs and Loch Lomond National Park............................ I've been up here since 1964, I'm nearly a local! Mick, Nobody WANTS to live in the Sarf, they HAVE to for work. Don't get me wrong there are some truly wonderful places to live down south but you have to pay silly prices to buy property in them and at the weekend they get mobbed by folks who "come down to the country from town" every weekend to their holiday homes they paid millions for. I can get from the centre of Edinburgh to home or from the middle of Glasgow to home on a Friday evening in an hour........................ it would take me a minimum of 2.5 hours to get from Central London (if I were prepared to pay the congestion charge) by road on a Friday night - longer if it's a sunny weekend forecast!
