Try GEMM at Larbert - they are non franchise Land Rover specialists.

Before you go any further, what makes you think that you actually NEED to replace these items? Is it just because some stealer has quoted you for a job that you assume it is really needing done?

John, I agree with you on the "is it necessary front"! Over on RRS there are plenty of stories of guys with dealerships wanting to replace Brembo brake components unnecessarily - maybe mbdj should go for a second opinion. In three years of TDv8 RRS ownership I never needed any replacement Brembo components except a replacement rear disc which was done under warranty. Now the FFRR has morphed into a 2012MY RREvoque Dynamic Lux Plus Auto SD4 Coupe in Fuji White with full ebony interior |

I've done the pads on my 2009 TDV8 at 18k miles myself. Disks were perfectly fine but I suspect 'some' stealers would have automatically changed the discs, and charged a premium at the same time. |

thanks everyone for your quick reply's the discs have groves top and bottom but they work fine so i thought i would ask the local dealer for a price to change discs and pads front and rear going to phone around some of the names mentioned to see if it can be done cheaper thanks again. |

I just had my discs and pads replaced by Lookers at Bishops Stortford for £775 after an independent told me they needed to be replaced. The independent wanted £40 more for the same job. Thankfully I got through a 1800 mile drive around France before the brakes started to crunch. Paul

Like JMC says, if they need done then do them yourself. Basic tools and a trolley jack are all that's required.
