Hi Chaps,

I may buy a second hand range rover from landrover Christchurch westover grop, does anyone has any experience deal with them? I think a good dealer is very important, so would like to hear any good or bad things about them before I put down my cash.

I've had four vehicles from them, two secondhand and two new. The sales side is pretty slick. Who are you dealing with ? Usual rules apply with any secondhand vehicle purchase, check and agree all things to be done and included in writing, especially as they will be busy with 64 plate cars over the next three weeks. More important if you aren't local.

They have looked after me.

The workshop and service team have sharpened up their act over the last couple of years and realise that they are just as important to get repeat business. That said there are a couple of good independents around here who are looking after very new RR (inc L405).

I've been using Westover for years. They used to be in Poole and moved to Christchurch a few years ago. I've had very good service from them. Only issue I've had has been on the sales side when I was keen to buy and they sold to someone else when I was negotiating in good faith. I guess they took the money whilst it was easy from someone 'on the the internet' rather than dealing with someone who was 'negotiating' so fair enough. I still felt let down as I thought I should at least have got a call. I turned up to do the deal and they'd sold it.

So in summary I think they are as good as you could expect. I would recommend - especially on the service side. They've serviced and occasionally repaired, my RR Classic, my P38 and my L322. No complaints. 2012 5.0L S/C
