Oh my bad...and in the bad books again with SWMBO as N+1 has grown another bike...

I've been admiring titanium frames for a while and love the idea of the low maintenance titanium frames are supposed to give, but I keep reading how the tubing can, and often does, eventually crack, which really puts me off spending over £1.5k for a bare frame. Then I discovered that Genesis have brought out a new Reynolds 931 stainless steel tubed bike fitted out with Shimano Ultegra groupset and wheels. I found a dealer close to me and they had one in stock in my size and with a bit of wheeling and dealing I managed to pick it up for a great price. Just need to change the saddle for a Prologo Scratch Pro and it will be good to go. On the scales it comes in at just under 8.5kgs so heavier than most of the bikes I have but I doubt I will notice any difference in my speed

Saw that advertised earlier today thanks Contra, just clicked the link and it's the usual crap, sign up for 3 issues for a fiver then £24.99 every 6 issues...so if you forget to cancel you're going to be out of pocket.

Why can they not make it the 3 issues then they contact you and ask if you wish to continue... Shocked

I get auto express, evo, octane and land rover monthly on trial all the time. I sign up, then cancel the direct debit. So far they have always come back and offered the same deal again. It's normally £1 for 3 issues.
I would do as I do, sign up then cancel the dd after first issue.....

Am I a tight fifer? Previously..

No, you sound like a smart shopper. Thumbs Up No one is forcing them to make these deals and not allow repeated sign ups.

Took the FFRR up north, a round trip of 250 trouble free miles for my granddaughter's 4th birthday party. So when the party was about to begin I Censored off for a cycle and some piece and quiet away from screaming toddlers Laughing Laughing

Getting back on form after the setbacks of the past 9 months and with one day still to go before the end of the cycling week I'm up to 169 miles so far. Going to try and get that other 31 in to hit the 200 mile mark this week
