They will turn them selves off after about 30 minutes, at lest mine do, then providing you don't open / close any of the doors it will stay like this. Immediately something changes, ie, door opened they come back on Thumbs Up Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

Yes provided you get the right type led Thumbs Up

something like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Car-LED-Light-Bu...4842dc82c9

As far as I'm aware there is no canbus on the interior blubs, but I'd remove a bulb and start the car to see Thumbs Up Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

Thanks Miggit but you have lost me. I'm only a lowly Architect not a sparky. What do you mean start the car and see?

I mean remove the bulb that you are planning to replace, start the engine and see if you get the 'Bong' of annoyance and the screen of Doom telling you that you have a bulb out! If all is quirt then you'll be good with those bulbs, if you get the Bong of annoyance and the screen of Doom then you'll have to find Canbus no fault bulbs, they are out there!
Oh and one last thing before you put the light fitting all back together, make sure that the bulb is working, as some of those LED's will only work one way round. If that is the case and the bulb's facing the wrong way it might be possible to turn the plug around. If not you'll have to cut and join the wires the other way around. This will not affect the operation with normal bulbs, but it will have a big effect on an LED. LED stands for light emitting diode, and a diode is a sort of one way valve for electricity, so it will only work one way Shocked Ooooo where did that come from Shocked Big Cry Ouch! Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... AFAIK the light switch is part of the lock latch on the upper tailgate

I just push the upper lock latch in with a screwdriver or key end, whilst the boot it open (as on my 08MY the light stays on permanently).

Then I just press the upper door handle switch to unlatch before closing it. Simples.. GONE 2010 Facelifted 3.6 TDV8 - Stornoway Grey + 22" Overfinch Olympus
