RED flashing alarm light

Went to my car this morning and even though the car is locked and alarmed , the flashing red LED under the mirror is no longer flashing. Tried the unlock and relock - but still no flashing LED ! Anyone have any ideas ?

I don't remember every seeing a red flashing LED there, only on the dash (of the MY 2006 NAS 4.2). Maybe it is just my memory since I haven't seen the car for about 1 year now. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

Daft as it sounds - I cannot remember exactly where either - it's just I cannot see one flashing in the window of the vehicle when I look up my drive like I could before ! I haven't used the car for 4 months and noticed it yesterday. The battery is fine it has a Cetek 10 charger on it and was started last week a run for half-an-hour with no problems. Anyway , car going for rear brake pipes replacing today and MOT so will have a closer look on it's return Rolling Eyes

Try a battery reset sir? Check the doors are closed correctly, do the indicators flash when you lock it? I think that signifies an alarmed/happy FF... If the indicators don't flash, not a happy car...

The light under your rear view mirror stays illuminated when you lock it, then starts to flash momentarily... Thumbs Up

Update - drove the car to the garage for the MOT and work to be done (front anti-roll bar linkages and rear brake pipe replacement) , and upon arrival locked the car and the red LED is now working again ? On the down side failed MOT for OSR brake pads less than 1.5mm (only been on for 4-500 miles) due to a seized brake calliper - more expense Big Cry

Thank's for that advice. Was not really aware the TD6's suffered from calliper failures like the later supercharged and TDV8 ones do. Still in the hands of the garage as of Saturday morning as I have been on nights at work Sad Did have a sneaky look at the 'is my vehicle MOT'd' government website to see if they had done the work - but still showing no MOT .Not looking forward to the final bill - especially just a few days before Christmas Rolling Eyes

United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Zermatt Silver

Mine is a 2007 so led in dash near the steering wheel BUT when my drivers door handle cable snapped the car would lock from the remote, but not the drivers door, which I had to lock manually, and the led would not flash (which I understand means she wasn't superlocked or alarmed)

After replacing the cable and a bit of faffing with the door connectors, all back to normal (locks all door using the remote and led flashing again)

Could one of your doors have failed to lock? 2007 Zermatt Silver TDV8 Vogue SE - now sold but was a great car!

Update as to rear callipers - The garage had another look whilst changing the brake pipes and lo and behold - it was an error on their part - no sticking calliper and no worn brake pads ! WTF as they listed it as an MOT failure point Shocked Anyway a good piece of news and as to the door cables - they all work fine. Think the car must have had an 'off day' as now the alarm LED is working correctly Thumbs Up
