Drove it. Or as we over here in Northern Ireland like to say "took her for a spin" nowhere in particular just around the back roads through the Mourne mountains - no snow but it was nice to be able to look over the hedges for once Cool

Washed my new one (for the 4th time in 2 weeks)

Unfortunately the Mrs called me out on urgent business (we were late leaving for the cinema) so I didn't get a chance to take more pics after it was done.

After the foam came a rinse, a wash and a rinse. Then pulled it into the garage for a dry and a window clean, then a hoover inside and finally a carnuba wax to finish off.

Oh and fixed a lose bit of trim on one of the side steps and fitted the rear window rubber trims..

Waiting for some warmer weather to do a full paint prep and polish... (Hurry up and warm up) Ash

you foam it and then rinse off the foam....and THEN wash it? Do you apply another batch of foam for the washing?

The snow foam is left for a few mins to attack debris and dirt etc. hose off softly (not power wash) then wash as if normal.

Snow foaming is great fun especially if the kids are annoying you Laughing 405 AB exec seats Baltic and Cirrus

thx Ajac Thumbs Up

My actual procedure (on a slightly warmer day would be)

Rinse
Snow foam (and leave to soak for 10-15 mins or so)
rinse
wash
clay
Quick wash n rinse
stage 1 polish (with DA polisher)
stage 2 polish and swirl mark removal (with DA polisher)
wax
sealant
clean windows

then maybe do the interior..

But all of the above is only a once or maybe twice a year event. If you do it at least once a year the rest of the time it takes about 1/2 hour to wash and dry the car (cos nothing really sticks to it) Ash

I got a flat tyre which I thought was a slow puncture but when I pumped it up and went to the garage it was bad news. The inner edge of both rear tyres has worn and the sidewall of 1 had split. £600
Extracted from my wallet Big Cry

It's due MOT this month so would probably have had to change them anyway.
