Shocked wife with map....? That'll end our holiday before we got out of our village. No my wife and I agree that it is an impossible combination. Use the FFRR sat nav, you'll find yourself a few times driving in the nowhere, but somehow it picks up the road again. Next to that we use often a recent Michelin road guide available at nearly every service station. Enjoy the trip and take care not to speed to much. It's costly here and they are out everywhere as soon as the weather is fine.

Robert you missed the bit in brackets.... (PRETEND SHE'S HELPING BUT IGNORE HER MAP INSTRUCTIONS AND FOLLOW THE NAV) Women need to think they are in charge....

don't really need a map for that.

just follow the directions to

A16 then onto the A26 > reims
merge onto the reims bypass A4 at the large payage and then back onto the A26 in the direction of Chalons en champagne/troyes/dijon about 10 miles to the south.
Just south of Troyes you join the A5 in the direction of Dijon/Lyon which then turns into the A31 just north of Dijon.
this loops round Dijon then turns into the A6 (autoroute de soleil) and heads in the direction of Lyon past chalons sur saone.

then basically follow the A6 to Lyon, follow it through the city after which it turns into the A7 down past Valence and Orange heading for Marseille then Aix en Provence. near where you take the A8 along towards the riviera.
marseilles

its really easy and there is not much chance of getting lost its pretty much one road all the way down., i have done it about 10 times now in total, there aren't many pitfalls to watch out for, just a new bit of auto route round reims which is not on all sat nave, then whether to go around lyon or through it, there is a new bit of motorway linking the main motorway into the city(A6) to the main peripherique to the northwest. which then loops round and joins up with the A7 to the south.

Thumbs Up Thumbs Up There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Michelin yellow 1:200,000 map book is the one to have. Go for spiral bound, as everywhere I've ever wanted to go always seems to be in the crevice between 2 pages.
