United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Zermatt Silver

My issues was the black plug into the door card.

If its the same as mine (2007) and the Powerful UK video, its the plug where you have to use a flat bladed screwdriver to unplug - 2min 15secs on here &feature=youtu.be 2007 Zermatt Silver TDV8 Vogue SE - now sold but was a great car!

Guys. Sorry to resurrect this thread.
I'd settled on it being the lock/latch and went Vegas with the intension of ordering one this weekend now I'm back.

Went out tonight to reset the service interval as I had serviced car myself a few week ago and have just realised not only does the drivers door not lock or unlock via keyfob or dashboard button, but also the internal door handle light isn't working or the puddle light anymore. All are only effected on this door.

Have tried the battery removal for 20 mins (is about all I can do in the dark) but am now wondering (again) if it could be electrical?
Could things be pointing to that large 4 pin plug you mentioned?

Does the big 4 pin plug that you remove with a screwdriver on the back of the door card, service the remote locking, puddle light and door handle light? Or am I just getting hopeful?
I really have tried connecting and wiggling etc it before and it seemed seated. Maybe try tomorow with the battery connected so I can see if it makes a difference?

Cheers

I think your problem is with the connector, I was unable to source a wiring diagram, but remember my puddle light didn't work and the interior light would not switch on when opening the drivers door (all other doors worked fine)

I think the big connector supply power to the door latch assembly, hence it won't lock/unlock from the fob, but also the sensors don't register whether the door is open or closed, hence no signal to turn puddle or interior lights on

I would take the door card off again and try playing with the connector and measuring whether there is an voltage at the door latch assembly before ordering a new assembly 2007 Zermatt Silver TDV8 Vogue SE - now sold but was a great car!

Awesome. Thanks!
The interior lights are working as they should, but I'll have a good attack on it tomorow!

Guys
Again I Bow down to your superior knowledge.
I had checked that large plug about 10 times so had settled on the lock u/s, but a new day and fresh set of eyes, a lot more wiggling of said plug (also a lot of swearing) and everything's come back to life!!

Thanks so much guys.

Really appreciate it Thumbs Up
