[Wanted] 5.0 S/C range Rover

Hi everyone,
I thought it appropriate for my first post to be a wanted!

About 3 years ago I was moving into a Cayenne Turbo v RRS S/C from my Disco 3. In the end I went with the Porsche because I got a gread deal. On M&S tyres it was fun to drive up snowy mountains.

The Cayenne has gone and my wife has a Tiguan so I'm cleared to get a bigger beast.

So, I am looking for a 5.0 Super Charged. I have done a lot of lurking and fairly obsessive research..

I note that the approved warranties dealers are > £10k over the Independant dealers. I appreciate they are generally lower mileage but is this a reflection of them having to give decent part ex for those trading into new FFRR's?

Does anyone have or know of a decent example for me?

Thanks

Gregory

there are some nice examples on the LR site and not that much over autotrader prices and you get the benefit of a no quibble 2 year warranty which would give piece of mind of a vehicle like this..

Thanks for the guidance thus far chaps.

Gary is doing a good job of managing my expectations. Smile

Ebajema - Galloway Green and tan looks a cracking combo.

Something I'm not that clear on - does the detachable tow bar come as standard stored in the boot, or was it a paid option? On my Disco I just bought a Thule detachable and wired in the service electrics.

tow bar is not a standard fit, but the Westfalia aftermarket one is the same as the LR one just cheaper....... Electrics are pretty plug and play too, if you get the LR kit.

see Pfjones website for details of prices etc. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Update:

I am now the proud owner of a Galway Green 5.0 SC 2010MY.

What a cabin to spend time in, comfortable, great vantage point and that faint whine of a Supercharger.

I didn't get all the options I wanted such as the upgraded audio system, illuminated sills etc, tow bar, climate rear seats, towbar, RSE, though I am aware I can do some of these myself.

In fact I bought the one Stan pointed out early on from Land Rover Cambridge. I cant work out how to post a photo but its the 1st truck in Stans screen dump.

1 month of driving and I have cemented my view that this is a far more refined and comfortable truck than the turbo nutter Cayenne I had. Its no where near as fast and doesnt really go around corners, but thats not the style of driving which the SC commands. Everything is done in comfort and a sort of whafting style. This is not to say that in a straight line the SC can pick up her skirt and pull away. I like that there is no reference to it having the SC beast under the bonnet and purely badged as an Autobiography. Great fun.

Many thanks for all the help and I shall post some pics at some point

Gregory

Note to self on diction.. Laughing

Well the interior is as far as I understand Ivory with Walnut Burr.

I must admit the extended Walnut would not have been my choice if new, but it works with the whole car.

It's the law of sod at to ones need for the warranty, but I do feel relaxed knowing it is there for the two years.

The wife wasn't impressed with my 'need' to get a Range Rover, but she really enjoys being in it! The boy loves it as he can see so much from his chair in the back. Very cool. Cool
