Crow problem

The last few days a couple of crows have started to make a nest in between the dorms of my roof , i cant access them from inside the loft as the dorms are sealed units , looked online to see whats the best option , have hanging CD's from the gutters as they say reflective things can deter them but to no joy , i have even played recordings of Owls , still no joy ...

Anyone had this problem before .... Cant even shoot the Censored s

Into the bargain the wife is giving me major grief about them , and the eldest daughter is saying i am being bad by trying too get rid of them .... Shocked Shocked Whistle ====================================

"Open Mike Night " sounded like a lot of fun until i found out i was going to an Autopsy

Crows are known to be very smart birds, suggest you put a TV up and let them watch Eastenders or Big Brother, that would get rid of them very quickly I guess Smile MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

get a number of trucks to drive round your property, that will get them, as Crows always have a look-out crow to warn others of danger, and although they can shout 'CAR', 'CAR', they cant shout 'TRUCK' so they get run over.... Very Happy

The trouble with poisoned bait is that it isn't selective. Would probably kill everything else and the crows will avoid it. Sad John

plus its totally illegal and you would end up doing a jail term! good for the wife but not so good for you Wink

you would have more success using a 50 cal ! or just a .22 Air Rifle 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17

Feel for you Mick, we have a magpie 'issue' too, they keep steeling our feed for the chickens!

Just be thankful you don't have bats.....lovely things they are.....but not when you want the house extension built....job stopper for me at the moment Big Cry If it dont work.......burn it!

If the IId tool cant fix it.......burn the FF.

If the FF cant be fixed......buy a Land Cruiser!

If the LC cant be fixed..............................................BUY a horse !!

@Welshdragon - You might want to keep some of the bat droppings Thumbs Up

A friend, who is a roofer, has been asked on more than one occasion to supply some bat droppings to house extensions / alterations that were done without permission. Apparently it makes many planning departments much more likely to grant retrospective planning permission Laughing

Been thinking about selling my air-rifle. Whistle

Slight issue is it's a Section 1 - great for punching holes through crows though.
Section 1 == requires firearms license Ed

This even sounds stupid to me as I type it but.......

Why not set up a larsen trap in your garden to catch them and then go for a really long drive before releasing them?

Alternatively, just shoot the critters Thumbs Up
