The ZF transmissions are not the problem in the FFRRs. The GM transmission in the TD6 (and other cars / brands) of that generation. I wouldn't worry about it, just drive the car the way it is meant.

They are probably good transmissions, the issue is the torque converters i belive wich are to weak for theese heavy cars am i correct?

One of the worst things that can happen in owning a car is lack of confidence in the vehicle, it then effects just about every aspect of owning it....

It also seems most of the weak points on these, gearbox, diffs, cooling system, electric fan are all the BMW parts. Just think, you could have bought a BMW, which was ALL made of BMW parts. |
