Each to his/her own then

You won't get any abuse from me, it's about choices and what suits the individual
I could never get on with tugging myself, but that's just me
My current set up satisfies the biking need at the same time ( sort of)
Having said that, You can't beat looking cool on the gayped , rocking up for a macchiato at the local Ville

Of course it does mean you have to wear a cornflower blue shirt with tasteful pale yellow sweater draped over it , with impossibly cool Armani loafers etc etc. and that's just 'er indoors

I might admit to a sneaking admiration for the airstream ones though, but can't get over tugging reluctance
Perhaps the combination of a polished alloy FF and an airstream is the way to go

De Lorean?

While I think about it , and being a fully paid up member do the awkward squad, perhaps a DeLorean/airstream rig is the way to go .it does sit well with my image / avatar

I'm picturing it now...... Pink moped, loafers and a sweater slung round the shoulders! Wink

Incidentally, was talking to swmbo about airstream vans earlier today. They are really nice, but so pricey, however the old ones seem to be virtually indestructible due to the construction, even the old classic ones can be nicely refurbished, old UK made timber vans tend to crumble at about 15 years old, where as a 70's airstream can be solid, if dated! (And wired in 110v Rolling Eyes ). I'm not sure about the longevity of the new ones as they are built on European chassis, rather than the steel girders of the U.S. Spec ones. However they are uber cool and this might just be the ultimate camping setup!

Honestly, the RR for me is directly linked to my Tintent. No tintent, no rangey.... I just wouldn't need it tbh.

Appreciate ppl have vehicle's for various reasons but with high tax bills, fuel, servicing and C02 it really is a tough time to justify the RR. If we didn't have a 'van we'd not have the RR

Interestingly we have considered a motorhome but whenever I do the bells of "oranges and lemons" and the "bells of st clements" ring in my ears... I'm only just 40 so not ready for a transit with a "mind that child" sticker Rolling with laughter Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........

David that's a nice caravan you have there. Do like the Buccaneer caravans and the Elddis/Compass (all the same really just finish and equipment differences)

Would love an Airstream but
A) far too expensive although they do seem to be value for money as they last a lot longer than the uk ones.
B) the ones I like the look of are far too heavy for a LR to tow. LR cars only seem to be able to tow the smaller Airstrem models.

I'm the same at the moment. Conqueror is up for sale as we've bought a static and once that's gone, I'll struggle to justify running the ffrr. 2010 MY Vogue SE TDV8 3.6 Stornoway Grey- fully loaded
