You normally get less for a part ex than you would for a private sale, for part ex you normally just get the trade price. The dealer will certainly 'sell' it on for more than a private sale. Part ex prices are sometimes skewed by the dealer wanting to sell you the new car, ie. they'll give you a bit more than trade, but in reality they're just discounting the new car not paying more for your old one.

I was just quoting what i've seen them up for on ebay. Doesn't mean they're actually selling for that, but it's better to list them for that and have no interest then reduce the price later than list them too cheap.

I picked up my 08 plate 68k on the clock 3minths waranty for 21k with FSH, no rust on it and freshly detailed by a form that i know

Sold to a dealer for 13k which was more than £1k more than the local MD offered me.

He still has it and hasn't shifted it yet.

So trade I would be thinking £11k - 12 with the higher mileage
Upto £15k private with a good wind behind you, probably £13.5 for a quicker sale. Anything over £15k private is pretty high at the moment unless the car is mint. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammerðŸ˜œðŸ˜œ
