Well you would not believe it, cause of problem was a f**k**g USB charger that I had plugged into power socket in centre cubby, Evil or Very Mad pure chance i found it, noticed that when ignition key was in accessory position, radio was fine, soon as it was turned to ignition (without starting engine) reception was poo and the same with engine running, I will be smashing offending article with a big hammer, just hope that this will help someone in same position Thumbs Up

Oh cool, that's fixed my lousy FM reception in the work hack (Skoda). One of those cheapo dual USB chargers which I was using for the phone and TomTom. Said article now in the bin and a (hopefully) better quality one ordered from Amazon. Thumbs Up

I'm having a similar problem with mine, it's only happened since i put the new android head unit in so i'm thinking i did something wrong somewhere???
i get one radio station and that's all, the quality is terrible at high speed. until now i'd assumed the cheap aerial extension cable was to blame, but as soon as i get home i'll be pulling the USB cable out of the back just in case

Same here, wired in a nice little 3amp USB charger under the dash top, coming out right under phone cradle.

Great using Internet radio and maps on a long trio but totally screw's most FM stations up...

Cheap s@#t , what do they say, buy quality, buy once.. Neutral 2003 4.4 Adriatic Blue FF

My FM reception on some stations has just gone very poor when I switch the rear screen heater. I have a sub charger plugged in but as far as I recall I haven't used the heater with plugged in until the last couple of days when the temp has dropped. I will have to check this and see if that's the cause.

Anybody got a 'known safe brand & model' of USB charging adapter then?

I've just had the exact same issue but with the DAB radio reception being destroyed through the use of an "Archeer 4.8A Mini Powerful Dual USB Car Charger" ( https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01CCMEC2U ) in the rear of the centre cubby. Plug it in and no DAB, remove it and all ok.

Currently I'm using a "TomTom Universal High-Speed Multi-Charger" ( https://www.amazon.co.uk/TomTom-Universal-...B004SH3ERC ) as an interim - but it's a bit bulky...
