Service and repair work...................

Hello All,

Finally getting the Full Fat serviced next week, also need the garage to fix my flat battery problem I've been having for the last 1 week.
From my googling I've noticed a lot of people saying its down to the FSR failing but we shall see.

My main questions is about the garage i will be using.

They are called benington 4x4 centre in Stevenage, Hertfordshire SG2

Has anyone used these guys?

Thanks Thumbs Up

I have not had any dealings with them myself, but I have a pal with a P38 who has been using them for S/H parts, and has nothing but good things to say about them. So as a company they are unlikely to rip you off, and as for the standard of service I haven't heard anything.... so I think that we can assume that they aren't bad Thumbs Up Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Thanks.

My Friend had his Sport (2006) EGR done there a few weeks back and said they were good but hasn't had any other work done there.

Due to finance i just can't handler main dealer price so someone like them will have to do.

^^ most people can't handle main dealer prices, that's why they are called "Stealers", and that's why most of us are on here Wink Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

The problem with the flat battery is killing me!

Happened last night when the Wife was out and he advised the battery and alternator is all fine but something is still requesting power after turning off.

Last night when checking the net i kept seeing the same problem which was the FSR failing and how to do it yourself.

When i mentioned it to the guy at Beningtons on the phone today he said the best think to do is be patient as it can take up to 30 minutes for the L322 to go into sleep mode, at that point he said he will stick a vault checker onto it and work out were the problem is coming from.

this is my 1st and hopefully last problem with the FF since getting the car 4 months ago.

It won't be your last problem, that's for sure...

They take 16 minutes to turn themselves off when you turn off the ignition...

FSR is a common parasitic drain but there are lots of other candidates as well, the sat nav box in the boot is another one Pete
