Diagnostic tool

Hi guys , I am looking to get a diagnostic tool for my l322 ff 2003 autobiography . I haven't got lots of spare cash . I came across this icarsoft 1930 on the bay of flea. Will this allow me to sort my suspension issues out. I.E air suspension inactive. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Regards in advance to anyone who replies .Cheers Tony

Yes, but it wont do a lot else......... I've got one........... it's gathering dust, as I've upgraded to the IID tool.

My honest advice is if you are going to attempt any home repairs get the IID tool, I know that it's expensive, but it will save you shed loads in the long run......... If your having issues with the EAS, and your worried about finances for a IID tool as well.......... it might pay you to see if there is a forum member in your neck of the woods that will take pity on you and aid you with their IID Tool.

I would save the £100 and put it towards the tool that will do it all Thumbs Up

The IID can do an amazing amount. I'd wait for one to come up used on the forum if you want to keep the ££ down. The non-BT are coming down in price as its no longer the model of choice. (I have the non-BT and I'm pleased with it.)

'ang on a minute Buddy, it's all well and good promoting the non BT IID Tool especially when you have a car that's 5 years younger than ours....... one day your pixels will fubar........ then who'll be smug..... the BT owners Thumbs Up

In all honesty you can get a lot more information out of the BT tool than you can the Non BT, does your dash do graphs, real time monitoring of more than one thing, make the coffee... Shocked Mine don't do the coffee either Laughing Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

IID tool is definitely worth the money, i'd recommend the bluetooth one, it's so much easier to use.

You'll be able to resell it at a later date if you sell the car, or have it transferred to another car if you replace your Range Rover with another Land Rover model.

Hey. I know the BT is better. Of course it is. But the OP was looking to keep costs to a minimum. The non-BTs are a good price because everyone is upgrading the the BTs.

The BT model really is worth every extra penny. The extra functions can make all the difference to diagnosing an issue. Thumbs Up

You're not entirely screwed by pixel fade with a non-BT, because you can use the PC USB interface which replicates the integrated one, but convenient it would not be! Wink Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

Yes but there is keeping costs to a minimum... An IID BT compared with IDS for example...
Or keeping costs to a minimum = £12 on eBay for a Chinese code reader...

Im sure if the OP was talking the latter money savings, he wouldn’t be running a FF sir Whistle More a Fiat Panda Whistle

ive had and used the RSW alcomms whatever its called one with an old laptop. it seems fine. but i thought the IId tool was much more expensive. is that correct, an IId tool to use on say your ipad, is under £400. (bluetooth?) and can i use it on any FFRR? or is it to my VIN please.

from peoples experience, not the seller please....

The IID BT will cover any and all covered vehicles for the "standard" functions, but the "enhanced" functions are VIN locked.

Standard functions are fault codes, live data, component activation, and service routines (inc. service interval reset). You'd be able to use these on any FFRR (L322 and L405), D3/4, RRS (L320 and L494), FL2, Defender (07 on) and Evoque. Thumbs Up

Enhanced functions are ECU programming (inc. CCF editing), calibrations (EAS, SAS etc.) and key programming. These would be locked to your vehicle - extra licenses can be purchased (for any of the covered vehicles) for £60. Wink

Hope this clarifies. Thumbs Up Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK
