Had that gap on every car I've had with the heated screen. Keeps the two banks of heating elements seperate as the current runs up one side and down the other doesn't it?

If thats the case, I wonder if its something else thats failed. Left side clears fine, but the right side doesn't. 2010 MY Vogue SE TDV8 3.6 Stornoway Grey- fully loaded

United Kingdom 2013 Range Rover Vogue SDV8 Corris Grey

When I was with LR insurance and needed the windscreen checking (chip was just filled by Autoglass in the end anyway) they said that they were rolling out a system whereby all the LR main dealers would handle the windscreen replacement , but I think this basically entails Autoglass etc going to the LR dealer to do the work on your car and I assume the mechanics there check the rear view mirror/rain sensor is functioning correctly (and I think the air bags come into it aswell). I asked Autoglass about windscreen replacement and they said they would use either LR or Pilkingtons. As I'm not too impressed with my original windscreen, I will probably try Pilkingtons if it ever needs changing , but if they are one and the same, then I'm out of luck! Steve
