Thanks for comments regarding the wheels - does anyone know if the ride is significantly compromised on 22's vs 21's or 20's?

Depends where you drive & what you like really.

The L405 is designed with 22's in mind, so they are large, but not oversized wheel - kind of like the 20's on the L322.

It's definitely a firmer ride than 20's, but the firmer sidewalls feel better on roundabouts.

Most of my driving is A roads & motorways and I prefer ride of the 22's - and they look sooooo much better IMHO Thumbs Up

I haven't tried 21's.

Here's mine with 20's & 22's if that helps Very Happy

It seems like a really nice spec. My 2p: as suggested - unrated stereo & cameras. I wouldn't bother with the speed sign thing, but to each, his own.

Leather headlining is special.

Unless you really want to open the sunroof, go for the fixed version. The opening version has a bar across the middle and occasionally rattles.

Go for the no cost option wood and leather steering wheel. It feels special and is a wider grip than the leather only version.

21's provide a very comfortable ride and allow kerb climbing without fear.

All of the above based on MY16 experience. I also have a full ebony interior Smile MY23 D350 HSE

The traffic sign detection is good if you specify HUD. But together it's quite an expensive option. I got them and like them.
The updated 1700w is awesome. Especially if you burn your music files in a lossless format. Not really worth it if you don't.
The leather roof is fantastic. Just like a Bentley... And the leather/wood NCO is also fantastic. Current: L405 SVAutobiography Dynamic 2018, Defender D240 HSE 2020, Defender 110 Adventure 2015, Defender 90 XS 2012, Lightweight Ser III 1975

Sounds a great spec but I'd go for the two tone diamond turned 21 inch wheels. They've got a grey metallic grey inner, which goes very well with you choice of colour and they are a great compromise in terms of ride and looks. I've had the 22s on my last L405 and I'm pleased I've now got 21s as the ride is smoother and quieter. I also agree with other earlier comments regarding the contrast roof and the leather and wood steering wheel.

Finally, for me fixed side steps too, rather than the more stylish looking deployable ones. There's less to go wrong over a six year ownership. This way when you park your car in a multi-storey or tight parking space you can leave your car in off road height and anyone opening their door a little carelessly is going to have an impression of a RR side step on their door skin, rather than you have an imprint of theirs. Thumbs Up
