Help required with pricing 2007 TDV8 110k miles

As above, i know what a normal one is worth with 110k on but mine is a bit different, since 21st Jan this year it has had over five and a half grand spent on it, lunched a turbo and other one was a bit sloppy so ended up with 2 new Borg Warner turbos, 2 x EGR valves, gaskets etc supplied by Dan at £2700, plus new intercooler, new thermostat housing, new power steering cooler, new front and rear drop links, O/S bottom ball joint, parts and labour £5 1/2 grand approx, this was all at 108500 miles, now done 110269 miles so 1700 ish miles ago also had new take off rims & tyres fitted, car has all toys fitted and working, venture cam, dismountable tow bar, heated wheel, heated front & rear seats, cornering lights package, digital tv, latest map disc etc etc, when i first got it I fitted supercharged rear lights and autobiography side vents colour coded handles, all interior bulbs changed to LEDs, new carpets plus loads of bits i have forgotten, had a gearbox flush middle of last year, now running perfect with no faults but had it two years and fancy a change, wife thinks I am mad and should keep it as pretty much fixed all the bad stuff that can happen, but obviously final decision is going to be based on how much i can expect to get for it, bad bits are couple of chips on bonnet and little blister on n/s rear arch, very clean inside, no leather or bolster damage just faint mark as seen in pics, passed mot today with no advisories, burning question is, whats it worth?

IMHO it's not worth much more than any other same year/mileage FF

Just because bit's have been changed recently doesn't mean they are worth any more, in fact if you advertise it with all those bits changed then people will think it's been badly looked after or badly treated and won't even look at it...

I always shy away from car ads that read "loads spend recently" etc...

I wouldn't sell it cheap but I don't see it taking a premium over any other one...

Also, purely from a selling point of view the Aspen green interior is not a popular colour so that may be a detriment to the sale price...

Sorry, just saying it as I see it, if I were you I'd take your wife's advice and keep it... Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Pete

I sincerely doubt that the money spent would generate any extra come sale time. It might give someone who knows the cars peace of mind that the bits and bobs have been changed, so if advertised on here for example, but in general the market just takes into account age, mileage, and has it had the requisite stamps in the book. The fact you have spent loads fixing it is by the bye.

Personally i would listen to you Mrs and keep it. At least you know the big stuff is done. Treat it to having he rust blister sorted and and little bits of bodywork tidied up. Thumbs Up There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

My opinion same as the others, doubt you'll get a premium for all the new bits, as a buyer its a bonus, but they wouldn't value it anymore than another one. I'd keep it, you have just part invested towards the next 20-30k miles.

After all you could replace it with one that generates the same problems and costs in 6 months time. Better the devil you know.

Enjoy it and get some value out of what you have spent. Current Fleet:-

My opinion is that with all that work having been done, it's worth much more to you than someone else is willing to pay for it, so I'd keep it. Thumbs Up Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

Repair work or new replacement parts add no financial gain as you do not get more just for having a car that works.

As said before mentioning the work/cost/parts will in fact put people off.

Australia 2008 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Rimini Red

The sad truth is all the above is spot on and when you compare what a good 07-08 car is worth against a potential time bomb of the early cars from 02-03-04 which still go for 7K+ a car like yours actually represents great value to a buyer but really undervalued to a seller . Keep it, you have already done the scary stuff and the desire for something new will soon wear off when you realise it isn't as nice as a RRFF which you already have . 2008 MY Supercharged

As Gary knows, I shied away from a TDV8 with a turbo replacement because of what all of the above gentlemen said. I suspected more to go wrong (second turbo etc.) and didn't want the headache.

So I'd keep it for a bit longer and enjoy it as it probably now is a lot more reliable and less likely to fail again or give you problems. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

After spending that on it and knowing that it should be trouble free for a while, I would keep it.
