Tyre question

I currently have an L322 with 20" wheels and so as its original it has 255 50 20 tyres. Is it possible to fit the tyres that they fit to new range rovers on these rims I.e. 255 55 20 as generally they seem to cost less. Geoff

yes you can Geoff, the rims are both 8.5j so you'll have no problems , except that the speedo will be out slightly,

Stan, a supplementary question, will I have to do all 4 at one go or will doing them in pairs break something and will I have to do the spare. Actually that's two questions Rolling with laughter Geoff

i would do all four, the spare can stay 'as is' , as long as you only use it as a get-you-home spare..

many on the forum [and as i did] have upgraded to 20'' leaving a 18'' as a spare.. ... - .- -.

I would do the spare as well - even as a 'get you home' you could damage a diff - so just not worth it IMHO.

IIRC the 18" & 20" wheels had tyres on them that gave the same rolling radius - but changing the tyre from a 50 to 55 will upset that.

It's up to you. but IMHO the cheapest part worn 55 ratio tyre of eBay would be better than a new 50 ratio as a spare.....
