Loads of threads regards these, worthy of a search.

My own 2p worth:

There are those that want one & those who save the equivalent monthly warranty premium in a "war chest " just incase something goes bang. I was in the same boat last April, decided not to buy one and my maintenance hasn't been too bad. However I do have AA breakdown repair cover, which means if they can't fix the fault at the side of the road, they will pay for parts & labour up to a limit, which I can't remember right now. It's like a diet warranty. This covered an new alternator on my old one, just cost me £40 excess. All depends how much peace of mind you want, everything's available at a price!

Thanks for the wise words Mr Tee , I 've given it a lot of thought and heard the stories of warranties not worth buying etc . Had a bit of a gearbox scare this week and read some horror stories on here re engines going Shocked made me think long term .Had nt thought about the AA /RAC.Im in the RAC so I will have to make some enquiries. Thanks again for your response Thumbs Up Ray
