2 stroke oil in td6

i've been reading on the RRS about putting 2 stoke into a tankful of diesel..they claim cleaner and smoother engine running ..anyone tried this? ... - .- -.

I have heard that using such products can lead to excessive wear of some part or other so be careful....

I'm pretty sure that modern diesel contains the right amount of cleaning additives etc. Remember that the actual fuel system contains a lot of seals and devices which only expect proper diesel - hence LR even saying that veg oil (SVO which can be used in the old 200/300 Tdi's with no issue) should NOT be used.

Take care when adding foreign substances to your tank, cleaning fuel lines, fuel systems is not a cheap or fun occupation. Land Rover Addict
