Threads with images / view latest post issue

I believe this has been discussed on here before, couldn't find it, but the problem still persists:

There is a thread with images in it. More posts are added below the original post (with images in it)

When on the new posts page, if one clicks on view latest post, one ends up in the right thread, but somewhere in the middle of a post with images in it, not at the last post. One then has to scroll down to the latest post to see it.

This on Chromium on Linux, but I believe I see on Chrome/Firefox and the same on Windows too .

I find, clicking on "Home" and then scroll to the bottom and click here...

It gives a much better display of posts and you don't miss any, I usually click on last 24hours, then after reading a thread, click the back button to get to the list, then refresh the page...

Works well for me...

Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated Mr. Green  Pete

@ Pete

Doesn't matter which way you approach it, the same problem occurs. Click on latest post (little box to the right of the poster's name) and you will get taken to the middle of all your photos.

Try it on your recent thread on the steering/ignition.

Try it now, I've disabled the bit of code which I think causes this. I've given up trying to make it work.

It is fixed for me, can you please try this link:

http://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/post411751.html#411751

It should show the post by paulmoran2 saying "well done mate" at the top of the screen.

Just tested it (iPad using Chrome) and I end up mid-post (pre-Paul Moran 2). However, I never noticed this until you mentioned it.
