Handles have been colour coded and so have the mirror covers, I have removed the old window tint as they were faded and starting to peel. Going to get it re tinted this week. Managed to pick up a mint set of supercharged alloys for £100 with out tyres. Also fitted supercharged rear lights.

Nice looking car, Matty! Like the wheels - good price, too.

Can I ask where you had the re-tinting done, and where, and how much? Thanks!

It been a expensive month.the front diff started to whine on Saturday. Then in Sunday I stared it up and the engine made a strange tapping noise. When I removed the sump this is what I found

Unless your doing the work yourself, it will be expensive to fix depending on what needs replacing.

2-3k without vanos units.
3-4k with new vanos units and new timing chains. which i did as may a swell do them at same time.

of course the above depends on what you need but if you’re going to fix don’t skip anything to save ££ as you will regret it later on.

Unfortunately with the age of the 4.4 litres these days the timing guides are becoming old and brittle and in my case the timing chain were quite stretched aswell.

I recently had work done to mine lucky my warranty covered a chuck of the cost.

I managed to buy the parts cheap and a friend done the the mechanical work for me. Also fitted a new water pump and colder running thermostat. As the front end was off the car I decided to facelift it.
