Which all terrain tyres to choose

Hi,
first post for me.
I have L322 Westminster 2012 and am thinking of putting all terrain tyres on as i do a little very tame off road when I go beating.

Do these sort of tyres materially effect the road comfort / noise.
Which ones would people recommend.

I run General Grabber AT's on mine, but I'm not sure if they do them in your size... they are a little more noisy than standard, but it's a small price to pay for good off road grip... Although I haven't tried them in real mud... more like very wet fields, and they have been great. Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

i have the same Vehicle 2012 Westminster and for similar usage beating plus a bit more than the odd field.

I run the same general grabber AT, note not the AT2!

current ones i moved from old vehicle over to this one, they have done 20k already and still over half tread left. Cheers

I know someone who covered 80K and still had legal tread with a set of General Grabber AT tyres, plus I have found that they have exceptionally good road manners, wet or dry Thumbs Up Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

If it's off roading in fields I'd personally go for Goodyear Wranglers over ATs. I've found they clear mud better than the ATs. Possibly slightly noisier than the ATs but I do prefer them over the ATs. They also appear to be lasting longer as well. Ed

You'll have seen my comments on Duratracs in the thread linked above.

Just to add on noise, road feel etc, last week we drove to SE England and back, all fine, there was a bit more resonance than I am used to on new smoother tarmac than the coarser top dressing often used in Scotland, but we could still chat normally, not remotely like e.g. Defender with MT/Rs. I have heard the suggestion that Duratracs get noisier as they wear, but so far (maybe 9000 miles) perfectly civilised. Wear rate seems fine too.

Steering feel is slower than on 255/50R20 road tyres, but that is partly due to deeper sidewalls too and is more what I am used to, I find the 20s a bit too quick at times. Fuel consumption was shown by the car screen as 32.5mpg, admittedly traffic/reduced limits forced gentle driving style, and Shell V Power may help too.

My tyre supplier, when asked to compare Grabber AT and Duratrac said Duratrac "is a better tyre", I took that as meaning overall rather than just for my purposes. I would definitely buy them again. Only Range Rovers since 1988

Thanks all.

I think I'll probably go down the Grabber AT route.

First Rangey I've owned. When I bought the car it was fully loaded. I have to say I love the car but.......given it's a run out model I have had a fair number of issues with it.
Anyone have the deployable sidesteps. I find them a bit hit and miss.

Nitto Terra Grappler G2 is a good tire. You can run a 265/50R20 and even fits in the spare tire compartment.
