Ollie TDV8 Vogue SE 2007 The daily driven RR

The car I didn't mean to buy. I wasn't even looking at the time.

My parents were relaxing in Lanzarote and I jokingly I sent dad the link to this car saying new car ! (I'd just bought a house and didn't have a pot to Censored in). his reply was lets go look at it next week when I'm back.

So in that time I sold anything that hadn't moved in 6 months. (motocross bikes, other track cars I don't need or use)

I return with the car from Marty who's from track day forum on 24th December and drove it to Devon on the 25th to spend xmas with the inlaw's.

I spend the hole journey worried how much fuel it was drinking, at one point my lovely girlfriend told me to hurry the f**K up its xmas day and she want to see her parents today not boxing day. ( I soon got used to that and couldn't care less now how much fuel it drinks)

Spec

I've been driving it as my daily for the last 11 months fitted a Tow bar and just enjoy driving something stupidly big and quick.

Well it last 10 months with out a fault about 10,000 miles then the annoying Aux Belt pulley decide it want to sound like a flock of swallows so end up having the front end off and going a bit OTT replacing anything that could go wrong in the next couple of years well worth doing in my book since id already spend the 9 hour labour.

Water pump
All pulleys
All belts
Alternator

its now done 100's more miles from Liverpool to Devon.

Just bought some new rear tyres and I'm going to replace the front in the new year to something that could cope with going across the fields at the stables. (why did I buy Steph horse riding lessons for xmas)

Thought it was about time I post about this. It's my daily and my tow car for my track and race cars so I'm normally found all over the country working for different track days. It's a amazing car and got to say its done really well so far you hear all the stories I have to say its been more reliable than my 530 BMW I had.

Car is looking good Ollie, must admit I am kicking myself about not enquiring about it when Marty had it for sale on Northloop.

Lovely car Ollie. I bought mine in a very similar way...sort of a all or nothing type deal. Glad i did now, simply the best cars for the money Thumbs Up

As you said, it's not a car that can be properly enjoyed if you are constantly looking at the fuel gauge Laughing Jordan

General Grabber GT had to change to a 275/45/20 size to get what I wanted.

JPHC you are total rite get over the running cost and you enjoy it.

Jamie I think most of forum wanted this car.

Only think I need now is a new step trim I cracked it off roading.

Just had the rear camera fixed as well.

New step trim...I take it you mean the band of plastic that goes around the edge? £58 from Land Rover Supermarket last time I checked.
