United States 2014 Range Rover Autobiography 5.0 SC V8 Causeway Grey

on the fluid flush topic for the drive train...What is the entire list of things/fluids/filters to get flushed?

I bought my used 08 RR from a LR dealer @ 125k miles. Now has 145k. Shifts smooth as butter. But I have no evidence of any fluid flushes from LR or prev owner. Story I was told was "prev owner was a mechanic and did all his own maint." Could be true b/c the car is mint...but I don't trust salesmen. I bought it b/c of it's pristine condition and I figured the dealer would have sent it to the auction if they were weary about it instead of putting it on the lot.

Anyway... Is it bad to have these flushed now if it's never been done? I've heard of horror stories where people get tranny fluid flushed b/c they think they are doing a good thing and it gets WAY worse...something about the new fluid not protecting/too thin/etc. 2014 FF Autobiography 5.0 SC

2016 Range Rover Vogue SE SDV8 Corris Grey

For what its worth I buy on condition rather than mileage - seen some pretty leggy and unkempt 60-80k ones and some very well maintained 150k's.

I bought mine at 100k and its just turned 160k - still does 600 miles a week - as everyone else say, buy on condition but there can be some good value out there on a higher mileage one.

With regards the fluids - I did the gearbox, front diff, transfer box and rear diff at 100k when I bought it and just again at 150k Current Fleet:-

Just bumping an old thread, though as it's mine I thought I would let you know what happened eventually.

After looking at many dogs, and a few half decent ones, I eventually just stopped looking and bought another Jeep to replace my ageing one which was getting a bit temperamental. I went for the Grand Cherokee SRT8, which has been a good car but nowhere near Range Rover quality. I have however just sold it very quickly to a specialist dealer who offered a price I couldn't refuse. It goes on Wednesday all being well...

This still left me with an itch which needed scratching, so I was still looking for a decent supercharged car even while using the Jeep. This week I started looking in earnest again, though moved the goalposts to include the 5.0 Litre versions. After looking at around 15 cars, I finally decided that the Autobiography edition was the one I wanted and, after seeing some horrendous looking things, have just put a holding deposit down on one.

It's a 2010 with 60,000 miles on it. Full main dealer history and all nicely presented in grey (don't know the correct colour names yet) with ivory coloured seating. It seems to have every conceivable extra with it, though I'm not sure what is standard and what is an option on this model. It's just passed it's MOT today, though picked up an advisory on rear discs. These have been replaced by the dealer, so quite happy there.

It will hopefully be delivered on Monday so I'll up a few pictures when it arrives. I'm a bit gutted about having to tax it mid month, so may delay it till January, though will probably just get it done and moan about it for a while. Smile

Thanks guys,

I'm expecting to take delivery either tomorrow or Monday, so will probably have to tax it as the Jeep is now going on Wednesday. This just leaves a very "interesting" Mercedes to be driving around in and, with it currently putting out c730bhp at the rear wheels, the cold and damp we have at the moment don't exactly make for a relaxed driving experience...

I think Kevin (GLM) probably knows my car so he'll probably agree with the above. Mr. Green
