Cup holder issue but not the usual one!!

I replaced our dodgy passenger side cup holder a few weeks back with a second-hand one for the bargain price of £25-00.

It was working fine until two days ago when my Brother-in-Law tried to get out of the car with the cup holder still out and he hit it with his knee. The part that supports the bottom of the cup fell out along with the spring that attaches to it. Everything is still intact and I have figured out how to put it back together but I am missing two of the four metal pins that attach this part by springing into the main sliding part.

Are these pins replaceable and does anyone have an otherwise u/s cup holder that they could sell me for the parts? Annoyingly, I threw the original one away.

Glen.

Are they just a metal pin? Maybe an appropriate size Nail or Brad can repair it, after it is cut to length?

They are a metal pin with a Spring behind them, so a fixed pin wouldn't work.

Tell him he needs to pay and that you will have to take it to the LR dealership to have it replaced, he won't have much change left from £500!

Rolling Eyes Not exactly helpful.... we are all here to try and successfully short circuit the Dealer, and make owning a ffrr affordable for all...

There are some things that require LR... a cup holder isn't one of them... SH is an option, but if we can find a solution to repair the original even better Thumbs Up

As for the picture.. I'm not exactly sure which part we are talking about, and short of braking my cap holder, I'm in the dark.. But I'm sure that if there is an alternative fix someone will give up the info, it would just help to have a few more clues Wink Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

I could but he's a nice chap, so I will try and mend it.

I will see if I can get a photo up of the pins that are left.
