United Kingdom 2014 Range Rover Vogue SE SDV8 Corris Grey

The genuine LR wheels have a load rating, usually cast on the back of the spokes, but always available against the part number. As long as the aftermarket wheels have similar, and are rated to the same (or higher) loads as original wheels are, the offset, the J dimension and the tyre size are all the same, the insurance company could not refuse a claim based on changing rims, as long as they were informed of the change.

However, cheap Chinese copy wheels with no pedigree or load rate testing etc, well you wouldn't.

All the above assumes same offset, same load rating, same size tyres, same rim width (the J rating) -I have never strayed from these due to the many issues that can bring such as tramlining, tyres rubbing etc.

Interesting to note how many of the VW Transporter boys are having issues now with FFRR wheels. Regardless of all other factors the VW is a VAN, and as such it needs at least 6 ply tyres. Try getting those in a 35 profile ! Anyway, the DOT have clamped down on it and MOT failures for this are becoming more common. My brother in law has one and has gone back to steel wheels for this very reason.

SO yes, as long as you can be sure they meet the requirements they should be fine.

I very very much doubt that - is there any proof ? Did they come with a certificate ?

Do you seriously believe that LR will accredit a copy of their own wheels ?? Confused

You might want to check into TUV (german DOT equivalent) approved wheels. Don't quote me on the actual details, but they are thourough with their testing and approval. As much as I agree with everyone saying "cheap replicas are crap, OEM only", I'd confidently get a set of TUV approved wheels.
