Scotland 2017 Range Rover Autobiography 5.0 SC V8 Corris Grey

I think EBA would be standard all models, adaptive cruise standard on VSE and AB, option on Vogue and WM. I'm not aware of blind spot monitoring before the 405, my 2012 WM does not have it anyway. Only Range Rovers since 1988

I found in my experience and through various interviews the 4.4 and 4.2 SC are generally more reliable than the 5.0 and 5.0 SC. The conclusion of my Range Rover Book: L322 Buyers Guide is that for 2010+ you should go with the 4.4 TDV8 for reliability.

The 2010+ have quite a bit of tech. I believe the 2010 SC (roughly equivalent to VSE) in the USA included the EBA, Radar Cruise Control, Blind Spot monitoring, surround view camera, and dynamic headlights, these options were later deleted from the SC spec as standard in 2011 and 2012 and introduced as an optional vision package in the USA. In the UK and USA all autobiographies have the vision package as standard afaik. OffRoadRover.com An American Western Range Rover Off Road Blog

My 2010 vse has blind spot monitoring and virtually all the other goodies including electric locking rear diff, but no adaptive headlamps.

I have my AB Black 4.4 MJ11 now a year and this is definitely one of the best cars I've ever driven.
It is for me, in terms of driving comfort and equipment, with nothing else comparable.
He still makes me smile every day and I have never regretted the purchase. Thumbs Up

The one bad thing I'd say about my 09 MY10 rdv8 is the breaks are poor, I think they're Land Rover Ines rather than the bremo ones, some have them and some don't 2018 Suzuki Jimny 2003 written off

United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Stornoway Grey

Hi All,

It seems to me that the later models seem to have had a lot of what was once standard removed (ie RSE in the VSE), which seems a bit cheap considering the price of them when new! Still love them though.

Can someone confirm that the remote controlled FBH is still standard in the 2010 models? Or is it called Park Heating now? I'm a bit confused.

Is there any way of easily visually checking that the oil drain mod has been done?

Hopefully going to look at a couple over the Xmas break. 2010 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE

My 2011 has RSE and remote heat. It has park heat too. I think park heat is when you can program the FBH to come on at a certain time, when the car is parked....

A dealer should be able to tell you if the drain mod has been done.....

The revised drain has 2 pipes instead of the original 1 but it's difficult to see the bottom of the turbo.

Just to clarify things vis a vis Park heating and fuel burning heater , park heating is the function where residual heat from an already warm engine is used to operate the hvac system via the auxiliary coolant pump and is operated by simply pushing the Max button when stopped and the engine is off . Nothing to do with the thermotop fuel burning heater . 2008 MY Supercharged

The turbo drain mod

I had the MY10 3.6 and currently have the MY11 4.4.
Never had a problem with the turbo drain on either. But could be the way I drive them.
The second turbo gets a regular work out.....

If the mod causes you sleepless nights then take it down to Craig to have it done.
That I haven't had mine done doesn't worry me in the slightest.

Are the "secret" diagnostic screens still available in the '10MY vehicles and onwards and, if so, has the procedure for accessing then changed? 2012 Vogue 4.4 TDV8 automatic (LHD), Santorini Black

Hi guys, I am also trying to establish spec for MY2011 - Mainly what was standard and what was an option for Vogue vs Vogue SE, Autobiog. I've typed up a grid mainly showing the gadgets I really want.
I realise most things were an option so especially want to know any standard items.
Can anyone help populate my chart?
This is for UK spec cars.

United Kingdom 2016 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Santorini Black

Vogue

Xenons - Standard, adaptive headlights option
Heated Rear Seats - Standard
Front Parking sensors - Standard
Hill Start Assist - Standard
Power fold mirrors - Standard
Heated Steering wheel - standard (or at least never seen one without)
sun roof - standard
Preheater - All diesels have the heater, I think the remote was optional though but both my vogues have had one.

Thumbs Up

I think most Vogues have most things, and work up from there. I have never found the Vogue lacking in spec. the only thing I may have wanted extra is adaptive cruise control, but i can live without it. RSE was never an issue as its to restrictive as to what you can do with it. 6 DVDs in a changer for a trip to the south of france is a waste of time, and you have to half empty the boot to swap the discs.......Ipads are a far better option Thumbs Up

Make a list of wants and needs.

i.e. need - 20" wheels Whistle
want - cooled seats. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Thanks guys for those updates.

Whilst on the hunt for my 2010/11 4.4, i came across one with 107k miles on it. It's got FSH but I had hoped to get one circa 80k

I will only do 6-8k per year.

Wondering what anyone thinks on mileage over the 100k mark?

Cheers
