L405 price and buying advice

I have paid a refundable deposit on a 64 Reg. (December 2014), MY2016 TDV8 Autobiography with additional 1700w meridian, 22" diamond turned alloys and deployable side steps. The car is low mileage at about 14,000 miles and is in excellent condition.

Full LR main dealer service history when it should have happened.

Is £70K about right or am I paying too much.

All opinions will be appreciated, this is a huge decision for me to make.

I could post the Reg. number in case someone knows the car but is that wise?

Is it from a MD ?, i.e., Complete LR Approved 2year unlimited mileage warranty?
In my opinion that would be a deal maker/ breaker. G reg 2.5VM Vogue Portofino red 1991- 1999
V reg 2.5td P38 Rioja red 1999- 2006
53 reg td6 Vogue Oslo blue 2006- 2015
11 reg 4.4 TdV8 Vogue SE. Baltic blue 2015- date.

Yes, same MD supplied and looked after the car from new and are now selling it with Full LR warranty (2 years). They had it as a demonstrator for a year, sold it 12 months ago and now up for sale again.

If you look at the approved used section of the Land Rover website you can search for cars of similar age, mileage and spec and see prices, generally with several pictures or a walk round video for comparison. Only Range Rovers since 1988

^ web site is the way to go - you can easily compare all MD cars nationally.

However, they will also sell ex-factory cars, so having one supplied & serviced by the same MD may give you peace of mind - that's one of the things I looked for when buying mine Thumbs Up

Model year 15? Full main dealer warranty and service history? I would say its the right price especially if you like the look of it.

It's a nice mileage and spec but just check some of the 15 plate AB's out there would be my advice. I say that because every year LR bring upgrades once or twice in that year and some 15 plate cars (as mine is) are called MY 15.5 and they have some useful extras like automatic lowering of the suspension to aid getting out, electric seats that fold the front ones away when you are trying to achieve a near flat floor and InControl secure, which is a built in tracker (saved me £100 on premium) and of course InControl servivces too.

Sorry forgot to say that I've had the 1700 watt hifi and it's very good but certainly don't be put off the standard one. Unless you are a real music nut you would be hard pressed to tell the difference in the front ( never listened from the back) The only difference I could discern was that I perhaps put the stereo up slightly higher in the standard one but you will never get anywhere near its capabilities and still keep you ear drums. One last thing I'd advise is to drive a car with the 22s on back to back with the standard 21s because there is a difference in ride quality. The 22s aren't harsh but they aren't as comfy as smaller options even if they look good:thumbsup:

Maybe not on nice smooth German roads Rolling with laughter but where the buyer lives 21's ride smoother than 22's. And Frank please read what I said because I didn't say they were harsh, in fact quite the contrary. Thumbs Up
