[Wanted] Torque Convertor for 2003 L322 Now done, thanks :-)

Hi everyone

I'm a new member here but I've been referred by a longstanding member of landyzone (of which I've also been a member for a long time).

I am looking for a new or reconditioned torque convertor for my 2003 L322. I asked landrover so I know they're not cheap, but I would prefer to buy from a forum member at a decent amount than pay silly prices from a stealer.

Regards

Ian

Try rr Phil (or brembo as he is also known) - he is the top man for gearbox work.

Or try JP automotive.

It might be better to buy a used one get it rebuilt then strip and swop out for your old one.
Most places only recon old ones if you have one to swop.
If not the core charge can be quite high.
I do have one out of a 100,000 mile rr v8 that can be rebuilt and is up for grabs.

Thanks for the offer. I should have marked this as done, as the car is at the garage as we speak. They are fitting a recon unit and changing all the fluids for me.

@pluribus,

Please can you give details of how much it cost and all the work done. Did you for instance get the valves changed?
