Sods law strike

Hi,

Well there I was car sold so thought one last go and guess what, it dumped all its coolant !!! Sale kaput Big Cry Big Cry

Temp gauge didn't rise and just seemed to let go and continued steaming for the two hours I awaited the AA recovery. It obviously didn't want to leave me.

AA wisdom is that a hose or water pump had gone, so off the low loader in early December and I jus left it there in disgust.

Anyway, now need to decide whether to get fixed, sell as is, or just leave it there to teach it a lesson.

So given it is probably the worst option can anyone tell me how much to get a water pump done on a TDV8 Dec 2006 (2017 model year)

Given that it will need a low loader to go to a garage as extra cost anyone know who is decent on RR's and reasonable in Worcs, West Mids south area.

Many thanks If its not broke now it soon will !!!

I'd repair it.

You'll find it a)harder to sell and b) you'll get less money if you do manage to sell it. Bish.

Why not just refil with coolant and see if you can see where it leaks from ?

It could be as simple as a split pipe that you could replace in situ

Start by eliminating the simple stuff Thumbs Up

Had similar problem myself 6 months ago. AA diagnosed water pump failure, but turned out to be the top pipe from the radiator to engine block had come off. The pipe sits right above the water pump so is deceiving. It is worth refilling and checking where the coolant is coming from. 56 TDV8 Vogue SE

Failing the above - Charles Kenward Bromsgrove does low loader transport - reliable and helpful. Try this guy for the work he is based in Droitwich. Been my indie for years.
