Help, want to restore my favorite rangie !!

My favorite RR 4.6 HSE from 1998 has developed some issues and is in need of a facelift. Battery drains in odd patern and the engine has a tappet thats gone. But still drive it everyday and love it ! Is there anyone out there that can make a recommendation for a specialist garage who would take on the project in a loving and cost effective way ? Spped is not of essence. Or easier to put a whole new engine in ? Many thanks

Out of interest, what work have you had done by RPi?
Have you ever visited their workshop?

Yes been there a few times. My wife has a Morgan Plus 8 fitted with a highly modified 4.6 Range Rover engine and many of the parts came from there. They regularly have older RR's in for engine and other mechanical work. It is just a little village garage and hence have low overheads - but they know more than most about this engine. Speak to the owner - Chris Crane (but it will be a long phone call and you won't do much of the talking!!!).
