Canbus Bulb fault

hi all as part of my 2010 conversion I got some led fog that were canbus enabled... annoyingly they only use one feed for both light! this leave one unconnected and I get a bulb fault. I use these as drl so a little reluctant to put a resistor on as it will be on getting hot all the time... any ideas?

Have you installed the box of tricks that sorts the blinking fog lamp out? http://www.powerfuluk.com/vehicles/range-r...-cars.html Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

Unnecessary quote removed

when fitting my 2012 LED lights I ended up buying 2 x resistors for the indicators and 2 x fog light boards

the other thing to do if you prefer is to get a copy of navcoder and program the LCM to not do checks on fog bulbs (most of my LCM checks are off)

Shocked We talkin bout the other end?? Rolling Eyes

And I can't see why you wouldn't be able to turn off the monitoring of the front fogs.. if the LCM can see it then you should be able to turn it off! That does not mean that they have called them by a different name Wink Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

I would have thought that but no option on navcoder sadly. If anyone can get ncsexpert working on l322 then we may have luck but no one has I have found so far...

Whistle I don't suppose that they are classing it as a headlamp? It's the only other option that I can think of, it must be monitored somewhere for it to give error messages, it's just a case of finding what they have called the bloody thing to start with Laughing Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... I'm sure my navcoder read the LCM with front fog lights, as far as I know the front fog light LED conversion is ran by a ballast resistor similar to the indicator one not the circuit used for rear fog light

I would't have thought so, attached to the car with a gap between the ballast and mounting point should keep it cool enough, maybe email simon @powerful see his thoughts ?
