Fitting Bluetooth ULM - pls explain my spare plugs

Hi there,

First post, I've been reading all the bluetooth threads. Hoping for a bit of help with getting my bluetooth working.

Have a L322 '04 uk spec RR. It currently has analog TV, a FM/AM radio and nothing else.
There is a mic in the overhead and three connectors in the boot. Think the white one is the phone connection for the 'non-wired for phone' configuration.

No sign of the 54 pin phone connector
Don't know what the other connectors are for.
I've ordered 6th gen BMW bluetooth unit from ebay

There has obviously been some chopping done - see the big bunch of spliced wires labelled as speakers. My suspicion is that it had a DSP and someone took it out. I also wonder why the mic is there there already. Could it be for voice control of a GPS unit, now removed?

I'd like to know what I'm looking at and thoughts on what I should do next.

Update

On my '04 UK L322 HSE. There is no eject box. No prewiring for phone. There is a mic.

I repinned the white plug to the input to the ULF, following the guides here, and I got connectivity/pairing but no sound. I didn't even attempt to connect the mic. I did move pins 9 and 10 from CPT8000 to the ULF connection on pins 37 and 38.

My car doesn't have a DSP or Amp, but it does have the MFD. I can't find that option in RAVE and I can't figure out what's amplifying the radio audio so I think there has been some chopping so the phone sound doesn't reach the audio input. Could the previous owner have done some kind of MID wiring? I have to operate with the fader all the way to the front, or the rear sounds really bad.

In RAVE I can only find phone audio going into the DSP Harness Connector C0492. Nowhere else.

So in a system with no amp, no phone prewiring and a bunch of wires, how do I get the sound to come out when a call is in progress?
