It's good proof that diagnostic tools can help.

After seeing all the codes the one which stood out as the cause was the CPS fault, and the graphs of the signals proved it.

Glad it's sorted, for future reference can you give us a ballpark on the final cost Thumbs Up There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

I’ve had the best part of 5 years smooth running since replacing the Crankshaft Position Sensor.
Good luck. -------------------------------------

Is it an easy fix, Mrs is complaining of a small loss of power for a second while driving today. 2011 Vogue 4.4 TDV8

In 3 weeks I have the MOT so I asked the LR workshop. Part number LR049872 is replaced by LR126062. They asked € 308 (or 270 pounds) for labour so I think it is a job for about 3 hours. They also check if my one has update LTB00454v2 is done.

I'm not sure about fitting. I had the garage fit it. -------------------------------------

Today I was at the local LR workshop. My RR was not updated with LTB00454v2 so they run a diagnostic test. No failure was recognizable/logged, no failures for the crankshaft position sensor so that saves me a little €500 (446 pounds). The update cost me € 64 (57 pounds) so hopefully my problem is solved...

To be specific:
They re-programmed the PCM (Powertrain Control Module, part LR023239) with the newest software (LTB00454V2).

Technical bulletin LTB00454v2 says it will solve the problem when driving between 60 mph and 90 mph, with an ambient temperature above 10 degrees and in 6th, 7th or 8th gear.

Can anyone advise the suggested time to update the PCM as presumably shown on LTB00454 please? My L322 is booked to have the update done tomorrow morning and I'd like to have some idea of the time. It is also booked to have the BCM updated and as there are several other modules that aren't at the latest level I'll be trying to get them all updated, but I expect the PCM to take the longest by a fair margin.
TIA.

Edit: I can't decipher Chinese but suspect the 0.2 in the box on page 1 is the time, which will be great if correct.

Does the update have to be done at a Land Rover garage, Mine us rather useless recently.
Also does anyone have any idea what the update would costs. I only bought my car in Feb so not sure how upto date anything is. 2011 Vogue 4.4 TDV8

Gap has advised that their tool can't do the update.
I was advised that my local dealer's labour rate is $176 per hour so I'm hoping for not more than half an hour total.

Slightly off topic but I am getting the software update for the gearbox done next week as above (LTB00454v2)

Are there any other software updates that are important/should be done while they are at it? RR Vogue 4.4 TDV8 - 11

The sensor has been superseded twice since our vehicles were built so maybe improved.

Which one is the latest for the TDV8 4.4 diesel? LR126062? Or the LR049872?
